My dentist’s office opened up and I had my scheduled cleaning.
They were in full PPE gear, had me wait in the car until my appointment time and took my temperature before allowing me in. Of course I was wearing a mask.
Maybe it was my imagination but the cleaning went much faster and there was more use of the hand tool to pick at tartar, rather than the water pik device. Which is fine with me – that whine of the machine is just *that* pitch that sets my teeth on edge. No pun intended.
The hygienist told me I had less tartar than usual – was I doing anything differently?
“Day Drinking,” I said.
After a pause she said that alcohol does kill bacteria, and sent me on my way.
